Filling more than plates this Holiday season!
One of life’s most urgent questions is “What are you doing for others?”
With the Holiday season approaching, it is always humbling to reflect on the magnitude of our blessings and seek out ways to give back to those less fortunate. The Northeast Arkansas Food Bank, in collaboration with the Jonesboro Radio Group and Region 8 News Teams, is kicking off this year’s “giving” season with their annual “Fill the Food Bank” Food & Fund Drive.
No one should have to bear the burden of an empty table, but according the U.S. Census Bureau in 2017, approximately 16 percent of residents in Craighead County are living in poverty. Please consider donating money or nonperishable food items to their efforts to ensure everyone has a full table this holiday season. Whether small or large, any donation helps– Remember: a $1 donation servces 4 meals! So drop by Kroger Marketplace on Thursday, November 15 from 6 am – 6:30 pm to fill a plate (or 4!) to help a regional family in need.
